I grew up in Indiana and was always very creative, designing and making my own clothes as a teenager. I doodled, but had no opportunity for art training in school.
At college, I did take a charcoal class, but it definitely was not for me. I graduated from Ball State with a double major in Languages.
Around 2005, I went on a four month sailing adventure to the Bahama Islands. I had decided I wanted to learn to paint. I began painting the many beautiful images around me. I began with Watercolor and continued painting and studying when I returned home to Palm Bay.
I eventually discovered Colored Pencil, which has been growing in the Fine Art field.
Today, I am proud to be a member of Eau Gallery in Melbourne, FL in the Eau Gallie Arts District. I feel my work continues to improve every year and have sold several of my paintings.
